Finalist #1 - Renie Wong

Renie Wong, 22 year old lass from Ipoh, is crowned the Miss Photogenic at the semi-final of Spotlite Teen Idol Search 2010. At the semi-final, she literally charmed the judges with her great warm smile, personality and also her sense of fashion!

(Hi everyone, I am Renie Wong. I am 22 years old, from Ipoh. Currently, I am studying my degree in Marketing in UTAR Perak)

(I am very excited to be in the Final of Spotlite Teen Idol Competition, and I would take this opportunity to thank my family and friends who have giving me a lot of support throughout. (At the same time, I would like to share my "Rimmel London" experience with you. My first encounter with Rimmel London products was when I was competiting in the preliminary round of Spotlite Teen Idol competition in Ipoh, where the make-up artist used Rimmel cosmetics to do my make-up. The end-result was awesomely amazing!

Not only was it easy to apply, the effects were long lasting too! In particular, its eye-make up range is very suitable for the use of creating the smoky eyes effect, which has brought a refreshing touch to my eyes. Thank you Spotlite Teen Idol for introducing me to Rimmel London.)

The Rimmel London Look Finalists Are BORN!

Morning Boys and Girls~~~We are sooooo excited over the weekend as we were at Sungai Wang to witness the birth of our 6 Finalists for the "Rimmel London Girl Search" in conjunction with the Spotlite Teen Idol Competition 2010!!

Yes, we had soooo much fun and thrill watch the semi-finalists battle it out with their charm, wits, talents and edgy make-up on stage that we were kept on our toes ALL THE TIME!!

Introducing the Johor Bahru Semi-Finalists of the Rimmel London Look Search

Finally!! Here are the photos from the preliminary round held at Johor Bahru!!! As expected, the crowd was awesomely overwhelming and we thought for a while we might have entered a concert or showcase by a Taiwanese celebrity or something!!

There were a lot of performances and entertainments along the way, but to cut the story short (cos we are sooooo keen to keep up with the pace of this blog) here is the Johor state winner of the preliminary round!

Ladies and Gentlemen, please meet Miko Chu Yi Pei, 20 years old lass from HELP International College of Technology!

Miko will be joined by Joey Chung Ju Ey (photo below), 16 years old student from SMK Taman Daya 2 at the semi-finals of the "Rimmel London Look Search" in conjunction with Spotlite Teen Idol Competition 2010 @ Main Entrance of Sungai Wang this coming Sunday, 10 July 2010, 2pm to 3:30pm!!!

Introducing the Ipoh Semi-Finalists of the Rimmel London Look Search

Good Monday Morning Girls and Boys~~~Hope you have had a blast over the weekend, because we at Rimmel London Malaysia sure did!!

We had so much fun over the weekend going through and shortlisting the exciting photos taken at our Rimmel London Search preliminary round in Ipoh, which happened on 19 June, just so that we can share them with you here on our blog. (we know its a bit late, apologies, we were just so absorbed in the photos we didn't realise time passed so quickly!!).

Here you are, some of the event photos for your view pleasure, before we annouce the semin-finalists from Ipoh!

Special guest-performance by singers Kay and Adrian, who were also the judges on the day.

Throughout the competition, the contestants put forth their best performance to wow and impress the judges and audiences. Crowd cheers were almost non-stopping from the beginning till the end, when the contestants...

...hip-hopped...

...tap-danced...

...showcased their make-up skills...

...and finally, shashayed in their most fashionable do.

We believed that the judges had a tough time deciding on the winner for the preliminary round, but it had to be done. And without further ado, everyone, please meet Ipoh state grand-prize winner - Penny Loke, 2 1 years old from Perak Institute of Arts!

At the same time, Penny will be joined by 2 other short-listed semi-finalists to come over to KL to contest in the Semi-final round of our Rimmel London Search!
